Every other Friday VIP (our professional cast of The VLC Playground) presenter their old and new improv shows at Casapueblo, our home in Benimaclet for shows, events and love!
The first Friday of every month VIP hosts Double-Dose Improv where another VLC Playground house team opens the night before our professional cast to bring you an unforgettable evening of spontaneous theatre. AKA, two shows for one!

Hosted by the hilarious Cata, the Catacom (get it? Cata + Comedy) is an English-language open mic night where anything can happen! A bunch of humans get on stage to try their latest material and make your crack with their jokes, from pure amateurs to people who have already tested their material with at least moderate success! Whether you’re trying stand-up for the first time or you love the idea of people making you laugh, this is your end-of-the-week event!

Once a month let you wild side out and come experiment whatever happens!

Our guest shows aim to bring professional international improvisers to Valencia's stage to share their signature formats with our professional cast or to play in one of our formats with their brilliant talent. It's a cultural exchange on stage: fresh perspectives meeting local energy, international techniques blending with our community's spirit.

These limited-run productions feature dedicated casts who've spent months rehearsing, developing characters, and perfecting every line. Whether is an original play from The VLC Playground artist themselves or a play chosen from the international theater pool of plays, these shows bring crafted stories to life with all impact and love of traditional theatre. Improv Marathon is our epic twice-yearly celebration where the stage is never empty and the energy goes for hours! Part fundraiser, part showcase, part community love letter, these marathon nights feature back-to-back performances from students sharing their progress, established troupes bringing their best work, and surprise moments that remind us why we do this. Experience a rotating lineup of acts, styles, and skill levels all sharing one stage for one unforgettable evening. Whether you're performing your first scene or your hundredth, cheering from the audience, or discovering improv for the first time, our Improv Marathons are where our entire community comes together to celebrate how far we've come and fuel where we're going next.

CoLab is where creative curiosity meets collaborative chaos. This is a monthly event series where you can come together to try out wild ideas, test unfinished concepts, or experiment with new ensembles, duos or even solo shows.
Whether you're workshopping a half-baked concept, exploring a technique you've been curious about, or simply want to play with form and structure alongside fellow creators, Co-lab gives you the space to try, fail, iterate, and discover. Think of it as the creative sandbox where tomorrow's shows take their first messy, glorious steps.

Community Nights are a time to come together to simply enjoy each other's company, no stage required. These casual gatherings are all about deepening the connections we make at shows and classes through the things we love: cozy movie nights, creative craft sessions, spirited board game tournaments, and whatever else brings us joy. Whether you're new to the community or a familiar face, Community Night creates space for the conversations, laughter, and friendships that make VLC Playground more than just a theatre company. Our Games in the Park drop-in is a fun and welcoming gathering to play improv theater games and JUST HAVE FUN! All levels of English and all levels of improv are welcome! Just bring your lovely self, your energy, and your (creative) mind. Invite your friends and get ready to connect with amazing new people while enjoying the sunny vibes of Valencia on a relaxed and playful Sunday! A chance to play like we’re kids again!
