Class Passes

The Playground offers a weekly class called IMPROV GYM for members who want to play but don’t want to (or can’t) commit to a full course: The Improv Gym! A 1,5 hours class to train your skills to build your improv muscles! It’s recommended that you have completed some of our Improv Essentials course to fully enjoy (or equivalent experience) but it is not mandatory.

To attend our weekly classes you will need to become a member of our association and buy a set of Class Passes – it is €75* for a 5-class pass or €150* for a 10-class pass.

*Members enrolled in a full course get 20% off class passes.

First Class Pass
Before committing to a set of Class Passes, we encourage people to try a weekly class for only €15. This way you can get a taste of the class before committing to a package.

  • We are legally recognized as a cultural association by the Community of Valencia, this means that anyone participating in events at our location needs to be a member so we can comply with the law.

    Don’t worry, becoming a member is free!

  • Our goal is to create a tight-knit community of excellent performers who trust each other both on and off stage. By committing to a pass, we hope to incentivize you to attend classes on a more regular basis both to improve your skills and to build the trust needed for improvisational magic on stage! 

    A secondary goal of this structure is to better be able to predict income for The Playground. As a non-profit start-up, being able to predict our revenue is very important for the sustainability and longevity of our community. 

    Of course, if you do not have the means to pay for a class pass in full, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us to discuss payment options!

  • Yes, while your pass gives you access to the classes, we still ask that you reserve a spot in advance. Join our WhatsApp group to reserve your spot each week. 

  • Our class cancellation policy is as follows:

    • Students signed up for a weekly class need to give 12hrs notice before the start of the class.

    • If they do not give 12hrs notice, they will be charged for the class anyway

    • Exceptions will be made in the case of an emergency

    • If the class is ghosted (i.e. people don’t show without informing us) and a limited number of students show up (i.e. 3 or less), we will do our best to proceed with the class.

    • If the class cannot proceed as planned, the students who did not willingly cancel will NOT be charged for the class.

  • Not currently. The class pass can be used only for our weekly Improv Gym.

  • Class Passes are non-transferable. When you receive your Class Pass Card, you will write your name on it, binding it to you forever and ever.

  • Class Passes never ever expire 🙂

  • Yes! Class Passes are 20% off for students enrolled in a course.
    Meaning 5-class pass = €60 and 10 class pass = €120 for existing students.

  • Just like improv, there is no limit! You can buy as many class passes as you’d like, and we encourage regular participation to help you grow as an improviser.

  • Purchasing a 10-class pass demonstrates a strong commitment to your training, which can lead to faster progress and stronger connections with your fellow improvisers! 

  • The First Class Pass is non-refundable, but it's designed to be an affordable way to try out a class before committing to a full pass.

  • Typically Class Passes are non-refundable.

    Under special circumstances you may get in touch with us to discuss options. In many cases, credits to shows or other courses are gifted to those who no longer want to attend the weekly classes.
